6th February / 8th February 2024 - Free interactive webinars with apprentices and employers
This National Apprenticeship Week on Tuesday 6 and Thursday 8 February, celebrate and highlight the prestige and opportunity of apprenticeships and Skills for Life with KS3 and KS4 students with our free online events. Inspire your students to choose apprenticeships and learn more about the Engineering and Technology and Digital sectors, as we meet Amazon’s DevOps Engineer Level 4 and Software Development Engineer Degree apprentices, Junior Design and Management Consultant Level 4 apprentices from IBM and apprentices from Kaplan.
8th February 2024 - Celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2024 with the British Army
The British Army is the largest Employer Provider of Apprenticeships in the UK. We have close to 15,000 apprentices currently enrolled on apprenticeships from Level 2 to Level 6 across more than 40 different programmes. That means that over 95% of soldiers enroll on an apprenticeship scheme when they start their initial trade training.
8th February 2024 - University of Surrey are hosting a Virtual Summer School Virtual Insight Event
The University of Surrey offer a fantastic Summer School Programme, providing under-represented groups with a taste of university life and offering support with UCAS applications. Those eligible will also have opportunities to gain a bursary to fund their degree!
12-16 February 2024 - CISCO Work Experience for Year 12 students
The programme will provide opportunities to learn about Cisco and the IT industry. You’ll hear from technical teams and business teams. There’ll be a challenge that you work on as a group and then present to our Cisco judges and we’ll be learning about and practising employability skills such as interviewing and CVs. Plus learn about routes into Cisco straight from school via the apprenticeships, as an intern once at university or as a graduate after university. This is a full five days of learning opportunities. You will need a device, preferably with a camera, to join the virtual meetings.
14 February 2024 - Deloitte NAW Event in Reading for Year 12 Students
Discover the juice behind the scenes by speaking with AWE’s current apprentices about their journeys. Be prepared for your future apprenticeship applications by working in teams inside a mock assessment centre task. Ask any burning questions to the Early Talent team and have fun networking around the room!
14 February 2024 - AWE Taster Day
Year 12 and 13 students interested in getting a taste of what it could be like to work with the UK’s largest defence researching facility can visit AWE's head office in head office in Aldermaston on 14th February from 10:00-15:00 to see behind the scenes and meet current apprentices.
19th-23rd February 2024 - Early Bird Applications: Accelerator
The flagship education programme from Skills Builder Partnership for primaries, secondaries, colleges and specialist settings.Develop a sustainable strategy for teaching eight essential skills. Access to networking, strategic workshops, staff training, online tools and free resources.
28th February 2024 - Creative Careers Focus on architecture with RIBA Event
Are your learners creative problem solvers who love to build and create? Delivered in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects, this online event will introduce the many hidden jobs that exist in the sector.

4th March 2024 - Engineering roles at Gatwick, Virtual Discovery Workshop
This Discovery Workshop is an opportunity to learn more about Engineering at London Gatwick, one of the busiest single runways in the world. The workshop will be delivered by Ben, Engineering Technician and Finlay, Engineering Apprentice.
4th-6th March 2024 - Hewlett Packard Enterprise Work Experience
The HPE work experience program will be run from 10:00 - 16:00 each day. During the week you will work on a project, sharing your thoughts and ideas back to the group. You'll also get the chance to find out what skills and qualifications you might need depending on which jobs interest you, and how we support career development.
4th-12th March 2024 - An opportunity from WWF
From 4-12 March (each webinar is at 6pm) - five webinars covering sustainable careers in entertainment, fashion, sport, business & finance, and food & farming. Follow up competition with a chance of winning an Insight Day at WWF-UK HQ in Woking, meet industry experts, and bespoke coaching.
5th March 2024 - KS3 Step into the NHS day
NHS Health Careers will be running an exciting Step into the NHS day to introduce its long running schools’ competition for Key Stage 3. It’s also a chance for your students to meet NHS staff in a classroom environment, bringing some of the more than 350 NHS careers to life!
6th March 2024 - Access Day for Bangladeshi and Pakistani Women
Trinity College is again collaborating with the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) and Jesus college to offer young women in Years 10-12 with Bangladeshi and Pakistani heritage an exciting access day on 6th March from 09:30-16:00.
11th March 2024 - Oxford Brookes Taster Days
Join our Subject Taster Days to gain first-hand experience of studying at university level and student life. You will have the opportunity to: Take part in lectures and interactive academic sessions. 2024 - Year In Industry Placements (YINI)
EDT’s, The Year in Industry (YINI) Placement scheme, helps place school-leaving students into paid 12-month long placements into all areas of engineering, science (particularly physics), technology/electronics, maths, business, marketing and finance across the UK.
2024- Free civil engineering virtual work experience
You might’ve heard about civil engineering, but how much do you know about it? It’s an area of engineering that can take you anywhere in the world, working on projects that you mightn’t have even thought about! But, where do you start? Right here!
2024 - Digidata (Gain Virtual Work Experience)
Sign post your students to our library resource to gain virtual work experience with our partners; BT, CACI, Capital One, Experian, Facebook, GSK, ITV, Lloyds banking group, Omnicom Media group, Shell and Unilever. All participating students receive a virtual work experience certificate for each completed career challenge.
2024 - Astra Zeneca Virtual Work Experience
AstraZeneca will be hosting virtual work experience weeks for Year 10 students during June and July. The experience will showcase the development of a medicine, including the different functions involved and the early careers entry points into these roles. Students can register their interest now.
Spring 2024 - Bring the Drama Festival
The BBC is joining forces with some of the UK’s leading cultural organisations to create the first festival of its kind, bringing together stage and screen and opening up the doors to the next generation of behind-the-scenes talent. Across 6 weeks in Spring 2024, there will be a series of events taking place in parallel with a new primetime BBC Two series called Bring the Drama.
